We offer four choices of bracket types (braces) and Invisalign :
Invisalign works without brackets or wires and takes no longer than regular braces. They are not for everyone, but can do a wonderful job in many cases.

The advantages
of metal (silver or gold), are that they tend to be more durable and
are more efficient in some stages of bite correction and therefore are
preferable in some cases.

Porcelain and sapphire crystal brackets are especially good for people in the public eye such as trial lawyers, public speakers, or actors. We used the porcelain brackets on a well known local TV personality. The viewing public never knew he had braces.

Colored
ties
of all colors are available! |

The colors that you see on many peoples' braces are ties that go around the brackets. These come in many, many colors and can be changed at each appointment. Team or school colors are frequent choices as are holiday colors such as orange and black for Halloween or red and green at Christmas. Some even get rainbows! |
| We have used lingual (tongue side braces) in the past and found them to be extremely difficult to adjust properly and very rough on the tongue. Many patients using lingual braces opted to switch over to regular braces due to the discomfort. The esthetic brackets are very good, however, and can usually be used if the patient desires to minimize the visibility of the braces. | ||
